Best New Keyboard/Sound Module
|
The Korg Karma Music Workstation, introduced to rave reviews a year ago, was named 2001s Best New Keyboard/Sound Module at the 16th Annual Music & Sound Awards, winning against other nominees such as the Yamaha Motif and Kawai ESX. Hosted by The Music & Sound Retailer magazine at the Winter NAMM 2002 trade show in Anaheim, CA, on January 18, the Music & Sound Awards recognize excellence among manufacturers and dealers in the music products industry.
According to the magazine, winners are determined by polling manufacturers and retailers: manufacturers vote on awards for dealers, while dealers vote on awards for products. With a circulation of more than 11,000 professional and highly influential subscribers, The Retailer is the only publication significantly influential with everyone involved in product distribution.
